All about Membership

Who is the membership for? If you are:

at least 16 y.o.
a local who lives in Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Mountain View or other nearby cities in Bay Area
want to take the first steps with ceramic and go ahead
create projects for real life
would like to practice sculpting or pottery at their own pace
don't want to be tied to a strict schedule
plan to take classes only when necessary
want to socialize and meet like-minded people

What members get:

Come to the studio at any time during the working hours (daily 10 am - 8 pm) with the door code
Our friendly, professional instructors are ready to help
Specially furnished spots for handbuilding
Pottery wheel room
Tools for handbuilding and pottery wheel throwing
Turn tables, texture rollers, stencils
Various glazes, underglazes and engobes
We have our own kiln at the studio (cone 06-05 glazes and firing). Your membership cost includes firing
15% discount on any group classes, courses or workshops (doesn’t include private classes)
25-40% (depends on term) on memberships for the family
There are two rest & socializing areas: open space for tea-coffee and a room where members can chat, play music or board games, etc
Dedicated member’s shelf for storing personal stuff and artwork

Age

A primary member must be at least 16 y.o. Other family members can be added to the primary membership with discount. The age of additional member starts from 10 y.o. Kids under 16 y.o. may attend the Studio under the supervision of an adult Studio member only. We also have clay & art activities for kids that do not require being a member or parent’s supervision.

Experience level & basic skills

Prior experience in working with clay is expected. But you can start with no experience as well. Beginners are welcome to take pottery class o pottery & sculpting course to get basic skills and then develop them yourself. Members have 15% discount on any group classes or workshops.

Clay purchasing

Members purchase clay at the Studio prices ($35 for bag of clay, 25lb) which includes cone 06-05 glazes and firing. For everyone's safety and the safety of our equipment, we do not allow you to bring your own clay. We suggest purchasing tested and safe clay from us at the same price as it is sold from suppliers. You can buy clay online or in the Studio.

Access

Members have unlimited access during the Studio working hours (daily 10 am - 8 pm) with the door code. Welcome at any time and enjoy the process!
